About

Dr Jennifer Luke, PhD

Hi there and thanks for stopping by.

Career development, meaningful and decent work across all age groups, and interpreting workforce trends – these are the foundations for my work as a qualified and award winning careers counsellor, lecturer, keynote speaker, and published researcher.

I bring a holistic and evidence-informed approach to all my work. With a background in software development and digital media, and extensive experience in vocational and higher education, I bridge the gap between education, technology, vocational psychology, and workforce development.

I collaborate across education, workforce, community, and government sectors to design and deliver initiatives that support meaningful and decent career development and employability outcomes that also include career transitions. My work includes consulting with universities and institutions on curriculum design, career education, and employability projects; developing tailored teaching resources; and facilitating workshops for students, staff, and communities—all grounded in a deep understanding of digital innovation, employability, and lifelong career development.

I hold a Bachelor of Multimedia/Information Technology, a Master of Education in Career Development, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Vocational Psychology (PhD). I am a member of various professional associations (shown below) and recently served (2020-2024) as the Queensland Division President of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA).

Over the years, I’ve designed and delivered workshops, presented at conferences and public events, lectured, facilitated webinars, contributed to media discussions, authored published articles, and developed practical resources.

The focus has always been on connecting the dots between demographic and labour market trends, industry skills gaps, career pathways, and decent, sustainable, and meaningful work for all ages.

Where am I?
I’m currently based in the South East corner of Queensland, Australia – but work both local and globally.

Work Motto:- Straight forward, focused & practical … always providing a clear outlook.
